Amariam Farms CEO Hajiya Adama Indimi Ratified as Vice President, Sunflower Association of Nigeria (North East Zone)

Amariam Farms is proud to announce that our Chief Executive Officer, Hajiya Adama Indimi, was formally ratified as the Vice President (North East) of the Sunflower Association of Nigeria on April 16, 2025, following the approval of the National Working Committee.

Speaking during the meeting, the National President, Alhaji Jibrin K. Bukar, emphasized the immense potential of sunflower as a strategic crop, noting that if properly harnessed, it can significantly transform Nigeria’s agricultural landscape and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economy. He highlighted Hajiya Adama’s longstanding passion and commitment to sunflower development, describing her as a natural fit for the leadership role.

During discussions, Hajiya Adama shared her experience as the founder of a cosmetics brand, where sunflower oil is a key input—often sourced internationally. This sparked a critical conversation around local production capacity, reinforcing the urgent need to develop Nigeria’s sunflower value chain and reduce reliance on imports.

Recognizing her vision, industry insight, and regional representation from North East Nigeria, she was nominated and subsequently ratified to take on this leadership position, with a mandate to support the growth and coordination of sunflower production across the region.

In her closing remarks, Hajiya Adama expressed confidence in the collective mission of the association, stating her belief in the team and its shared vision. She reaffirmed her commitment to advancing the sunflower sector and contributing to a more productive and profitable agricultural future for Nigeria.

Amariam Farms congratulates Hajiya Adama Indimi on this significant milestone and remains committed to supporting initiatives that drive agricultural innovation, local production, and sustainable growth.
